Joblama Beta Testing Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 March 2026
These Beta Testing Terms of Service (the "Beta Terms") set forth the terms and conditions governing your access and use of the beta version of the Joblamaweb application (the "Beta Product").
By signing up for, accessing, or using the Beta Product, you accept and agree to be bound by these Beta Terms. If you do not accept all of these terms and conditions, please do not sign up for or use Joblama.
1. Project Purpose and Beta Status
You acknowledge and agree that Joblama is a student project created strictly for concept validation purposes. The application is currently in a beta testing phase. As such, the Beta Product may contain bugs, errors, or inaccuracies that could cause failures, corruption, or loss of data and information.
2. Licence
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use the Beta Product solely for the purposes of testing, research, and evaluation. You shall not modify, disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer, rent, lease, or distribute the Beta Product. All rights, title, and interest in and to the Beta Product remain solely with the creators of Joblama.
3. User Data and Backup Responsibility
You are solely responsible for any information, content, or data you input into or generate through the Beta Product. Due to the experimental nature of the beta phase, data loss or corruption is possible. You have the full responsibility to independently copy, save, and backup your own data. The creators of Joblama assume absolutely no liability or responsibility for the loss, deletion, or corruption of any user data.
4. User Content Liability
You are solely responsible for all content you input into Joblama, including but not limited to CV text, personal information, employment history, and any other data you provide. You are also solely responsible for all documents you generate, download, or export from the platform.
Joblama does not accept any responsibility or liability for how you use documents downloaded from the platform. It is your responsibility to review, verify, and ensure the accuracy of all generated content before using it in any professional, legal, or personal context. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
5. AI Data Processing
Joblama uses third-party AI services (OpenAI) to process your CV content, employment history, skills, and career data. By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to your career data being sent to OpenAI for processing. This is required to provide AI-powered features including CV parsing, tailoring, gap analysis, and cover letter generation.
OpenAI processes this data under their API data usage policy, which states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
6. Feedback
You agree to provide feedback concerning the functionality, performance, and user experience of Joblama as reasonably requested by us, including identifying potential errors and improvements ("Feedback"). You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use such Feedback for the purpose of improving the product, without obligation or compensation to you. You retain all rights to your Feedback.
7. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification: correct inaccurate personal data
- Right to erasure: request deletion of your personal data — you can delete your account from the Settings page at any time
- Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Right to object: object to the processing of your personal data
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy.cometworks@ik.me or use the self-service options in your account Settings. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
8. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed. If the Beta Product is discontinued, all user data will be deleted within 30 days of the shutdown notice. Users will be notified via email before any such deletion.
9. Cookies and Analytics
Joblama uses essential cookies only for authentication session management (Supabase Auth). These are strictly necessary for the Service to function and are exempt from consent requirements under GDPR.
We use Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous page-view statistics. Vercel Analytics is cookie-free — it uses a daily-reset hash for visitor identification. No personally identifiable information is collected by the analytics service.
10. Disclaimers and Warranties
THE BETA PRODUCT IS PROVIDED STRICTLY ON AN "AS-IS," "WITH ALL FAULTS," AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. We explicitly disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied. We make no guarantee that the Beta Product will:
- Meet your specific requirements
- Be fit for any particular purpose
- Be error-free, accurate, reliable, secure, or uninterrupted
There is absolutely no promise or guarantee of the continuation of services after the beta phase concludes.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the creators, developers, student administrators, or affiliated educational institutions of Joblama be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages.
12. Termination and Discontinuation
We reserve the right to suspend, terminate, or completely stop providing access to the Beta Product at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with Section 8 (Data Retention).
